    Programs

    Trainees can enrol in a number of training courses for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), available in three levels. Each level corresponds to a particular certificate. All levels include automated external defibrillation (AED).

    • CPR level “A” – adult only CPR
    • CPR level “B” – child and infant CPR only
    • CPR level “C” – all ages
    • CPR level “HCP” – all ages at a health care provider level

    First aid classes are very comprehensive, covering different emergency situations and the needed first aid skills to address different injuries. Trainees will learn how to manage broken bones, sprains, and wounds, among a number of various skills. Popular first aid courses include standard, emergency and childcare first aid.

    Certification

    workplace approved training certificates are awarded to trainees who are able to complete a training course. The certificate is valid for three years throughout Canada. Re-certification courses are available multiple times per week at Winnipeg First Aid.

    Extra classes

    At Winnipeg First Aid, students are able to sign up for stand-alone CPR or first aid classes if they do not want to undergo both classes in the full training course.
